Cheaper energy has landed.

When energy retailer Energy Online wanted to launch into the Auckland market, Twenty NZ knew an out-there plan was needed to get cut-through and raise awareness that cheaper energy had arrived.

Here’s the story of how Twenty NZ helped the little-known energy brand become the first Kiwi company to get CAA permission to fly a UFO over the night skies of Auckland.


The stunt helped raise the profile of the brand as a new player in the highly competitive retail energy sector and followed-through with a multi-media campaign highlighting that Cheaper Energy had landed in Auckland.

The stunt itself generated major publicity and social commentary, resulting in big hikes in web traffic. As well as ensuring the site could be found by people looking for cheaper energy, onsite optimisation helped convert visitors into responders, delivering a high volume of quote requests via the site.
